Why the dinner problem disappears

A bachelorette or bachelor weekend has one reliable failure point, and it is the Saturday night meal. Twelve to twenty people, a restaurant that will not seat a party that size without a deposit and a fixed menu, an hour at the bar, and then the group is split across three tables shouting. Hibachi catering removes the whole problem. The chef arrives at whatever house you rented, sets up on the deck or the driveway, and cooks in front of the group while the drinks and the music stay exactly where they already are. Nobody drives, nobody waits, and dinner becomes part of the night instead of an interruption of it.

What the booking includes

A private hibachi chef, a professional flat-top and the propane, two proteins per guest from steak, chicken, shrimp, salmon and tofu, and hibachi fried rice, seasoned vegetables, salad and the house sauces on every plate. Filet mignon and scallops are premium upgrades and lobster tail is at market price. The full hibachi show is included, not an upsell: the onion volcano, the flaming stack, the shrimp toss and the spatula drums. We do not supply or serve alcohol — the drinks are yours and the grill stays with the chef.

Rental houses, Airbnbs and the fine print

Most of these parties happen at a rental, so two things matter. Get permission from whoever manages the property, and check the house rules on open flame before you book — most decks and driveways are fine but it is a bad thing to discover on the day. We need a level area roughly 10 by 10 feet with open air above the grill, or a proper range hood indoors. Send a photo of the space and we will confirm it in advance. An in-home hibachi setup works just as well as an outdoor one when the weather turns.

Group size and cost

Adults are $44.99 each and children are $30 each, with a $450 event minimum — about ten adults. Travel is a flat $50 covering the first 50 miles with tolls included, then $1 per mile beyond that. A group of sixteen adults is $880 plus travel, which for most parties is comparable to what a restaurant would charge for a fixed menu without the show or the privacy. One chef and one grill handles up to about 25 guests in courses; past that we send a second chef and a second grill.
